None of them
Alright this beat can be played if you have absolutely anything to the left of your hi-hat (or right side for lefty's). I put my second 14" hi-hat top on the batter head of my second 14" snare drum!! I don't have a stand for that hi-hat so I get a real dirty sound instead. I'll write that as H2. RLRLRLRL LRLRLRL LRLRLRL LRLRLR H |x-x---x---x---x-|--x---x---x---x-| H2 |-d-x-x-d-x-x-d-x|-d-x-x-d-x-d-d--| S |----o-------o---|----o-------o---| B |o--o---o-o----o-|o--o-o-o--o--o--| (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + |1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ) I don't know if that's exactly what I play on the bass drum and snare, you can really just improv there. Also, on the double bounces on the 2nd hi-hat, just improv, put them in anywhere you want. But the main thing you gotta maintain is hi-hat number 1 being played only on the offbeat except at the beginning Dean Christesen [email protected]
