Forgive me if this a little messed up; this is my first tab. This is a sick beat I use in a couple songs I play with my band ‘The Faultline’. It is also used in the song ‘innocent’ by our lady peace. The second way is the incorrect way but it is thought by many to be right. It sounds sloppy and amateurish. Here are the right basic punk beats. HH x-x-x-x SD -o---o BD o----o ----or---- HH x-x-x-x SD -o---o BD o---oo Here is the wrong beat. the extra stroke on the hi hat makes it sound sloppy once it starts going fast.
