Intermediate - Samba (ver. 2)

This isn't anything new but I reccomend any beginners or people who haven't played
much latin try out these beats, they are great for coordination.

They both use this foot pattern underneathe:

And here are the beats.
Samba:

Samba (Inverted Clave pattern on snare):

Dennis Chambers plays a variation of this using two bass drum pedals (Still using the
LRR pattern) and some accents of the snare, like this:

'>' is the accents played on the snare.

Mozambique:

Learn this as a rudiment with the following sticking:

   >  >       >
S |F-RLRRLRLRRLRRLR|
  (1e+a2e+a3e+a4e+a)

Where F is a flam and L and R is the sticking. '>' above the bar are the accents
you should play.

Now play it between snare and ride, with the samba foot pattern underneathe:

   >  >       >
R |F-x-xx-x-xx-xx-x|
S |F--o--o-o--o--o-|
B |0--00--00--00--0|
Hf|--x---x---x---x-|
  (1e+a2e+a3e+a4e+a)

Where the F means you play it as a flam, so the snare hit will actually fall slightly
before the ride hit.

Try these out they really sound awesome and do wonders for coordination.
