Every Thug Needs A Lady Acoustic

The Alkaline Trio were the band that started it all for me.
Many times I have tried to cover a song and many times I have failed until I stumbled
across a YouTube video of the band playing a intimate Record Shop Acoustic session.

The song Every Thug Needs a Lady starts at 23:55.
The video is here for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oaqr1rF3No

This is the kind of Acoustic I like to play so I got straight on with transcribing.
I'm pretty much certain I have this nailed and it sounds sick!

Tuning in the video is a step down but if you're just playing it live you can leave
it standard or like I do capo up on 2nd.

The Chord names are just there for reference but these are the actual finger positions.
On the D Chord I like to hang my thumb over the neck to mute the E string.
Hope it all makes sense :)

G 320033
D X00233
E 022033
C 032033

Intro Riff (G, D, E, C)

            G D
I know it's dark here, you know that I'm scared too

    E C
For some reason right now, of everything but you

G D C
Right now you're all that I recognize

           G D
You know I came here when I needed your soft voice

  E C
I needed to hear something that sounded like an answer

      G D C
Now I wait here, and sometimes I get one

BRIDGE

D C
It's nothing I'll forget when the moon gets tired

D C
You are stuck to me everyday

D C G E
Believe in what I am because it's all that I have today

      C D G C E
And tomorrow who knows where we'll be

C E D C D G
From here I can hardly see a thing

    C E C
But I will follow anyone who brings me to you

    G D C D
For now, forever, for on and on and on

Intro Riff again (G, D, E, C)

            G D
You know it starts here, outside waiting in the cold

        E C
Kiss me once in the snow, I swear it never gets old

           G D C
But I will promise you I can make it warmer next year

           G D
You know I came here when I needed your soft voice

  E C
I needed to hear something that sounded like an answer

      G D C
Now I stay here, and everyday I get one

BRIDGE

D C

You are stuck to me everyday

D C G E
Believe in what I am because it's all I have today

    C D G C E
And tomorrow who knows where we'll be

C E D C D G
From here I can hardly see a thing

    C E C

    G D C D
For now, forever, for on and on and on

Intro Riff again (G, D, E, C)

      G D C
So go plug in your electric blanket

       G D C
We can stay in 'till our southern summer wedding day

   G D C
Go plug in your electric blanket

D G D C D G
We can stay here
