Title: The Egg Marketing Board Tango
Artist: Benny Hill
Chords: G, D, A7

This song can be found on the CD "The World of Benny Hill - Benny Hill
Sings?" which includes 25 of his comedy classics. It also appeared on
an old vinyl recording, "The Golden Hour of Benny Hill."

It's the GEgg Marketing Board DTango,
In A7other words, the dance of Dlove. A7 D

You Dgo down to the pally and you're A7eager for a dance,
You see a lovely stranger and your Deyes meet quite by chance.
She's Gwarm and she's desirable with Dlips meant to be kissed,
So you A7stand eight feet apart and do the Dtwist. n/cOh Lor'!

But in the Gtango you get the chance to Dhold her oh so near,
As you Ggaze into her lovely eyes of Dblue.
And while you're A7dancing you whisper sweet Dnothings in her ear,
And she Gsays, "Sweet nothing doing," back to A7you.

You Dgive her a nibble, you A7give her cheek a peck,
You've got her in a grip of steel, you're Dbreathing down her neck.
And Gthen she says those magic words that Dthrill you through and
   through,
"You've been A7eating pickled onions, haven't Dyou? n/cOh, poo!"

G// D// A7/ D/ A7/D /

Once I Dmet a girl called Kitty, she was A7pretty as can be,
She lived up in the city and she Dasked me 'round to tea.
But Gpretty, witty Kitty, she Dtried to pull my leg,
So I A7hit her, what a pity, with a Dsoft boiled egg.

Then the Gwireless played a tango and I Dheld her in my arms,
As we Gswayed and we glided 'round the Droom.
And when her A7dad came in we carried on, aDlas I didn't know,
He was Gdeaf and he couldn't hear the A7tune.

He Dpunched me in the ear-o, he A7hit me with a vase,
He chased down the garden and he Dkicked me on the grass.
And Gnow I swear I'm finished, as Dtrue as stars above,
With the A7ango, the dance of Dlove.

This is one in a series of Benny Hill songs I've learned by ear. Most of
these songs have only three chords which makes it easy figure them out. I
might have missed some chords or put the wrong ones down, but the basic
structure is there at any rate. I welcome any comments, corrections or
suggestions for improvement.
