Day Four Acoustic

Ok I watched Russell play this live at the Edge on Youtube. The picking is 100% correct
though i'm not entirely sure about the strumming. But it sounds right to me so here it is.

For the intro, he just plays 6 muted strums on all the strings, counting Kele in, like this:

                         (It's in the trees....)
e|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|
B|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|
G|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|
D|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|
A|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|
E|------x-----x-----x--x--x--x---------------------|

And straight after that fourth strum he comes in with the verse, which is:

e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|-----4-5---4-5---4-5---4-5---4-5-0---------|
D|-------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------|
E|---3-----3-----3-----3-----3---------------|

e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|-----4-2---4-2---4-2---4-2---4-2-----------|
D|-------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------|
E|---0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0---------|

He plays all of this four times, and then comes in with the pre-chorus, which is:

e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------|
D|-----2-4---2-4---4---4-5---4-5---5---------| part one
A|---2-----2-----2---3-----3-----3-----------|
E|-------------------------------------------|

e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------|
D|-----5-7---5-7---7---7-9---7-9---9---------| part two
A|---5-----5-----5---7-----7-----7-----------|
E|-------------------------------------------|

e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------|
D|-----5-7---5-7---5---5-7---5-7---7---------| part three
A|---5-----5-----5---5-----5-----5-----------|
E|-------------------------------------------|

He plays this twice, on the first time through he plays (part one, part two) on the
second time through he plays (part one, part three). After part three he goes into the
chorus. I can't put in the strumming pattern perfectly, it's down to you to just listen
to it and you'll hopefully be able to figure it out and when the changes occur:

e|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
B|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
G|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0---etc.------------------|
D|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|
A|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|
E|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|

e|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
B|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
G|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2---etc.------------------|
D|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|
A|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|
E|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|

e|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
B|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|
G|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2---etc.------------------|
D|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|
A|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|
E|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|

e|---3-3-3---3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------|
B|---1-1-1---1--1--1--1--1--1-------------------------|
G|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0---etc.------------------|
D|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|
A|---2-2-2---2--2--2--2--2--2-------------------------|
E|---0-0-0---0--0--0--0--0--0-------------------------|

Russell plays this twice, and after that he goes back to the verse where you'll repeat
the whole song up to here again. When you've done that, you play the outro. Again, you'll
have to figure out the strumming pattern but it isn't too hard. The outro is:

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
D|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------| part one
A|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
E|---2--2--2--2--2--2--2-2-2-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
D|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------| part two
A|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
E|---3--3--3--3--3--3--3-3-3-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---3--3--3--3--3--3--3-3-3-------------|
G|---0--0--0--0--0--0--0-0-0-------------|
D|---4--4--4--4--4--4--4-4-4-------------| part three
A|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------|
E|---0--0--0--0--0--0--0-0-0-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
G|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------|
D|---0--0--0--0--0--0--0-0-0-------------| part four
A|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7-7-7-------------|
E|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7-7-7-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
D|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------| part five
A|---2--2--2--2--2--2--2-2-2-------------|
E|---2--2--2--2--2--2--2-2-2-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
D|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------| part six
A|---3--3--3--3--3--3--3-3-3-------------|
E|---3--3--3--3--3--3--3-3-3-------------|

e|---------------------------------------|
B|---x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-------------|
G|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------|
D|---5--5--5--5--5--5--5-5-5-------------| part seven
A|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7-7-7-------------|
E|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7-7-7-------------|

e|-----------------------3---------------|
B|---3--3--3--3--3--3----3---------------|
G|---0--0--0--0--0--0----4---------------|
D|---4--4--4--4--4--4----5---------------| part eight
A|---5--5--5--5--5--5----5---------------|
E|---0--0--0--0--0--0----3---------------|

Okay, you play the outro in this order:

1st time (part one, two, three, four)

2nd time (part one, two, three, four)

3rd time (part five, six, three, seven)

last time(part five, six, three, eight)

And that's it! i know i laid it out pretty weird, but i tried to make it real easy to
follow. It's a great song to learn, one of my favourites. Like i said i don't think it's
100% but i think it's close enough. Enjoy!
