Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone

I came back to this tab after a couple good years of experience and updated it a
little. It all should be in the right key now. To be in the key Chris sings it in,
you capo the 5 on this one, but I am far from his vocal range, so I do it at about
capo 2. Sorry about the confusion. If you don't have a capo, you can use the
"Transpose" thing at the top to get it in your key. God Bless.

Capo 5 (recorded version)

Updated 4/4/10

Verse 1:
D       D/F#      G         D
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
     D                   A
That saved a wretch like me
  D        D/F#      G       D
I once was lost, but now I'm found
    D         A     D
Was blind but now I see

(Verse 2)

Chorus:
              G                   D/F#
My chains are gone, I've been set free.
        G                      D/F#
My God, My Savior has ransomed me.
           G              D/F#
And like a flood his mercy reigns.
         Em   A        D/F#
Unending love, amazing grace

(Verse 3)
(Chorus) x 2
(Verse 4)

Verse 2:
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed!

Verse 3:
The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Verse 4:
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.
(Will be forever mine)
(You are forever mine)
