WINGS OF PREDATION - Deathspell Omega
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Marauderine aka Defi

Tuning: DGCFAD

Foreword (and this song needs it):
This song is all about the right hand. So while I can only give you numbers for the left
hand, I will do my
best to supplement it with explaining what the hell is going on. Furthermore as best as
I can tell DSO
multitracks the guitars playing very similar, but slightly different timing, bending, or
notes ringing out
in chords with each track. This makes it very tricky to figure out exactly what is
right. That combined with
how it is mixed can make things sound like they're there when they're not (Something I
find in other tabs
for this song).

Okay:

D|-0----------0-------0-0-----------------0-0--------------------------------|

*These notes when struck are sort of palm muted right after hitting, it gives it that "shrill"
sound you can hear on the album.

The chord shape is made with left hand and you kind of strum through it
up and down, so that's what the tab tries to illustrate.

^I separated this to explain the 2nd and 3rd sections. The way it sounds to me is this
part is played by
sweeping the pick upwards combined with some clever palm muting. It sounds very choppy
when played right.

One guitar plays this (on the left), and I believe the guitar on the right has the C
open string instead of the at 12th fret, at least the first time through.
After that I can only hear the F string ringing.

listen closely for the timing here. it jumps to the next bar a beat or half a beat
early, which is the
only difference from this part to the outro.

(but more natural timing)
