Alternate Version:

by ignoring the variations elliott plays on the high e-string you can play it like
that
in this case you wouldn't have to tune your high e-string to an c# just to an Eb!!
and so you could use the classic chords
it sounds good as well and its less complicated

D D/Ab /A D/B D E G
youll take ad-vantage til you think you’re being used
D D/Ab /A D/B E G
cos without an enemy your anger gets confused
Bm Bm7 F#7 G
i got stuck on the side you know i never chose

    D D/C# Bm D E G D
its all about taking the easy way out for you i suppose
