Never Had It

Artist: Flobots
Song: Never Had It
Album: Fight With Tools
Tabbed by: syngates07

This is just a basic outline of the song.
I didn't write any of the rythyms or timings so listen to the song for that.

(/) Slide Up (\) Slide Down (h) Hammer On (p) Pull Off (b) Bend (r) Release (v) Vibrato

These three chords are used the whole song.
Eb5, C#5, D5
sometimes he plucks teh bass note and then the other two.
the other times he either adds a weird rythym, delay or distortion.
Listen to the song to figure it out:

E|-----------------------|
B|-----------------------|
G|-----8-----6-----7-----|
D|-----8-----6-----7-----|
A|-----6-----4-----5-----|
E|-----------------------|

Then somtimes he throws in this fill:

E|---------------|
B|---------------|
G|-----11/13-----|
D|---------------|
A|-----9-/11-----|
E|---------------|

On the bridgey part, the first guitar does this with some dead strings.
The very first time, the D string 6 is an A sting 6:

E|----------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-----6---4------------------4-----|
A|-----------------4-----6----------|
E|------------6---------------------|

The the secong guitar comes in and tremelo picks this:

E|-----------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------8-----6-----7-----|
D|-----------------------------------------|
A|-----6-----4-----5-----------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------|

Th goes into this first solo:

E|----------6--6/11--11--11--11--11/13--13--13--13--13\11--11--11--11\6-----|
B|-------7--------------------------------------------------------------7---|
G|-7--8-------------------------------------------------------------------8-|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|

E|--6--6\11--11--11--11--11/13--13--13--13--14--14/16--16\-|
B|---------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------|

E|--------6/11--11--11--11--11/13--13--13--13--13\11--11--11--11\6--------|
B|-----7------------------------------------------------------------7-----|
G|--8------------------------------------------------------------------8--|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

E|--6--6/11--11--11--11--11/13--13--13--13--14--14/16--16/18\-|
B|------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------|

Then the rythym guitar comes back in for the second solo,
which goes like this:

E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-9b---9--7-----7-----------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------8-----8--6--8--6---------------------------------3--3--3--3--6-|
D|------------------------------8-------------4--6b7--7-----4----------------|
A|---------------------------------6-------6---------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

E|-------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------9--7-----7-----------------------9b10--9b10r9--7--|
G|--6--6--6--------8-----8--6--8--6----------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------8-------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------6--6-------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------|

E|-------------------------------------|
B|--11--11--11--11--11/14--14--14--14--|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------|

For the last bit of the solo just play around with these notes:

E|------14------18--|
B|--16------16------|
G|------------------|
D|------------------|
A|------------------|
E|------------------|

The for the outro just play Eb5, C#5, and D5 again to the drum beat.
and end on D5.
