Hoping Machine

From the 2012 New Multitudes Album. I'm pretty sure that this is played in some
kind of open tuning on the record, but here's my take in standard tuning.

Capo 3

D A X2

D Don't let anything knock your A props out from under you
D Always keep your mind clear let your A plans come out of mistakes
D these are the plans and A nothing can tear down
D made out of things that have already been A torn down

E whatever you do and D wherever you go
E don't lose your grip on life and that D means
E don't let any earthly cala D mity knock your dreamer and your hoping A machine

D A X2

D music is the language of the A mind that travels
D carries the key to the A laws of time and space
D lonesome train whistling down the A silent rail of wind
D life is the sound creation has been a A song

E whatever you do and D wherever you go
E don't lose your grip on life and that D means
E don't let any earthly cala D mity knock your dreamer and your hoping A machine

E out of order, D out of order, A out of order X2

D A x2

D quick to manufacture new Aschemes and ideas
D faster than any turn the A tide can wash you out
D word is the music and the A people are the song
D tomorrow's chances feel like a singing Agun

E whatever you do and D wherever you go
E don't lose your grip on life and that D means
E don't let any earthly cala D mity knock your dreamer and your hoping A machine

E out of order, D out of order, A out of order X4

D A x4
