INTRO:  G  G/C  G  G/C  G  G/C  G  G/C

Some Gsay He was an G/Coutlaw, that He roamed across the Gland
With a Dband of unschooled ruffians and a Cfew old fishermen
No one Gknew just where He G/Ccame from or exactly what He'd
Gdone
But they Dsaid it must be something bad that Fkept Him on the
Crun.G   G/C     G   G/C

Some Gsay He was a G/Cpoet that He'd stand upon the Ghill
And his Dvoice could calm an angry crowd or Cmake the waves stand
still
That He Gspoke in many G/Cparables that few could under-Gstand
But the Dpeople sat for hours just to Flisten to this Cman.G
 G/C     G   G/C

Some Gsay He was a G/Csorcerer a man of myste-Gry
He could Dwalk upon the water. He could Cmake a blind man see.
That He Gconjured wine at G/Cweddings and did tricks with fish
and Gbread.
That He Dtalked of being born again and raised Fpeople from the
Cdead.G   G/C     G   G/C

1ST BREAK:  G G/C G G/C D C G G/C G G/C D F C G

2ND BREAK:  C6 D7 Em6 C G6 Em Am Am6 G

Some Gsay He was the G/CSon of God a man above all Gmen
But He Dcame to be a servant and to Cset us free from sin
And Gthat's who I be-G/Clieve He was 'cause that's who I be-
Glieve
And I Dthink we should get ready 'cause it's Ftime for us to
Cleave.G

{comment:The Outlaw, by Larry Norman, from "Only Visiting this
Planet"}
{comment:The G/C sounds better in this song than just C. If you make
your G with your pinkie,}
{comment:ring and middle fingers, you can easily change to G/C by
fretting your index finger}
{comment:on the 2nd string/1st fret, and then moving your middle
finger from the 5th string}
{comment:to the 4th string/2nd fret. Your ring finger will muff the
5th string.}
{comment:If you don't want to fool with the G/C, you can use C.}

Fingerstyle:

{comment:Just hold the chord shown and pluck the stings by number.
The strings are numbered}
{comment:1 to 6. String 1 is the high E string. It is the thinnest
string,  on the bottom}
{comment: as you hold the guitar. Strings count up from there, 2 3 4
5 ... The 6th string}
{comment:is the low (deepest sound) E string. It is the thickest
string, on the top as you }
{comment:hold the guitar. You will have to figure out which fingers
you like to use for }
{comment:each string. I tend to use my ring finger for the 1st sting,
 middle finger for the 2nd,}
{comment:index finger for 3rd string, and my thumb for the 4th, 5th
and 6th strings.}
