Ageing Superhero

Standard Tuning... Capo - 8th fret.

All chords relative to capo.

Here are the chords I will use in this TAB... I'm not sure on all of the
correct names, but if you follow what it says, it should sound right!

    Verse: G? D? Gmaj7 Pre-Chorus: C9 Bm G7 C Cm G Am5...

With the "Am5..." chord, he plays it like that every time it comes round,
with the two pull-offs. If you listen to the song, you can hear the exact rhythm.

   Chorus: G Dsus4/F# Em7 G3/G G3/F# G3/E G3/D C9

The succession of G3 chords followed by C9 is played in the chorus under the
lyrics "growing all alone" and later "before I'm all alone". The chords are
played each to one syllable, I've tried to make this clear below, but I just
thought I'd put a note in here to make it absolutely clear.

A chord followed by "~" shows that it should be plucked once and allowed to ring out.

This is my first Ultimate Guitar TAB, so if you like it, please rate!

Enjoy!

Ageing Superhero - Newton Faulkner

VERSE:

G?~ D?~ Gmaj7~
Every time I think of growing up I find out that I just slipped back,

I got it all wrong you know I,

G?~ D?~ Gmaj7~
Feel younger than I did when I was younger on a backwards track

  G?~ D?~ Gmaj7~
I thought by now I could have figured it all out instead I'm further back,

Feels kinda stupid but I,

G?~ D?~ Gmaj7~
Feel 16 in my head but I guess it's only five years back

PRE-CHORUS:

    C9~ Bm~ G7~ C~
But I... won't... see the signs

   Cm~ G~ Am5...
it took so long but you were always on my mind, yeah,

CHORUS:

G Dsus4/F# Em7
For all the times I've tried to take a little time out for myself,

         G3/G G3/F# G3/E G3/D C9
I'm just grow - ing all a - lone again

      C9
But I find in my mind that I'm not.

G Dsus4/F# Em7
Time is running out and I just want to say I'm sorry now,

  G3/G G3/F# G3/E G3/D C9
Before I'm all a - lone again, and I'm broken and cold

           C9 G
The ageing superhero in me is tired

             C9 G
Because he's lived too fast for too long

             C9 G~
and he still longs to be inspired

G?~ D?~ G7~

It sounds so stupid I,

G?~ D?~ Gmaj7~
But it's gone, this train won't run, guess it must be the track
