I Don't Want To Go Home

NICK MULVEY - I Don't Want To Go Home

Tabbed by: Twheel
Tuning: Standard, no capo

This was figured out by ear, so might have a few inaccuracies. Please feel free to
comment with corrections.

Here is the basic picking pattern. The thumb plays the EAD strings, with 1st and 2nd
finger on the G and B
strings respectively, and your third finger occasionally playing the e string (figure
the e out by listening)

And similar for other chords. Your thumb jumps between the E and D or the A and D
string, and you play this
riff pretty much throughout, with the following chord shapes:

C X32010
F 133210
C/G 332010
G6 320000 or 322000 (sometimes he plays a normal G, although its hard to figure out when)
C/E 032010
G6/F 120000
C/B 220010
Am X02210
G6/B X20000

C, F, C/G, G6
C/E, F, C/G, G6

C/E F
I was happy in the day and I was minding my own
C/G G6 G6/F
She saw the better out of me
C/E F
She told me I could be a maker
                   C/G G6 G6/F
Though Id probably make only half of what I need

Waking early next morning
In a sleeping bag alone
Well darling you give me no warning
And I don’t want to go home

C/E F C/G G6 G6/F
I don’t want to go home, I don’t want to go home
C/E F C/G G6 G6/F
I think with you I’ve always known, Nobody’s ever born alone

C/E F
But the one time I mistake her
C/G G6 G6/F
She back flipped the breath out of me

She could see i could be a maker
And yes I make believe her make-up’s on my sleeve

C C/B Am C G6/B
But how often the love so come along, Come up and they’re kicking at your door
C C/B Am C G6/B
How often the love so come along, But you say you don’t want me anymore

C C/B Am C G6/B
I don’t want to go home, Cos I’m already home
C C/B Am C G6/B
I think with you ive always known, Nobody’s ever born alone

C C/B Am C G/B
But how often the love so come along, Come up and they’re kicking at your door
C C/B Am C G/B
How often the love so come along, But you say you don’t want me anymore

C/E F C G6 G6/F
I don’t want to go home, Cos I’m already home
C/E F C G6 G6/F
I think with you ive always known, Nobody’s ever born alone

C/E F C G6 G6/F
And in the fire I find the snow, Illusion come illusion go
C/E F C G6 G6/F
Yes in the fire I find the snow, Illusion come illusion go
