Right On Time

This is my version, sounds good on acoustic rather than playing the power chords.
Fool around with the D chord however you feel..it all sounds good.

D(let it ring) A
I know it's been a long, long year.
     G G
God forbid you to listen to me now.
D A G
I may have laid the pressure on good, but since that day
               D A G G
I'll never ask again.

D A
It's funny, it's come right down to this.
                   G G
I have to steal my time cause you won't give it up for free.
D A G G
I've been talking to the Moon all night, but the Stars won't say nothing to me.
             D A
And though I feel it's easy for a man to grow up
                               G
Much harder for a man to grow out.
D A G
You may not appear, but I'm standing here My God.
     G
I'll never ask you.
D A G
Where have you been?

You could have told me just.
D A G
Where have you been?

Cause if you know me you know.
D A G
I won't ask why.

They always told me you'd be
D A G
right on my time.
                     DAG
We're coming around.
