My Autobiography

From the album of rarities - 25. Paul's guitar is a bit out of tune in the recording but
it sounds like the
song is meant to be in D Major.

The song is played using entirely barre chords and focusing on the bass end of the
chords. The minor and
majors don't matter so much outside of the intro, they're all kind of played like power chords.

Intro: D

Verse 1:

D
When I was fourteen I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
To seattle, and hang out with Nirvana
D
And when I was fifteen, I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
into a basement, the deepest darkest basement
D
And when I was sixteen I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
to New York City in 1977

Chorus:

Bm A F#m A F#m
But Now I'm twenty-two, and all I wanna do, is hang out with you

Verse 2:

D
When I was seventeen I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
to California and be a surfer
D
When I was eighteen I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
Into my own head and finally get some work done
D
And when I was 19, oh I wanted to move
A F#m A F#m
Anywhere but my parents house

Chorus 2:

Bm A F#m A F#m
But now I'm twenty two, and all I want to do, is hang out with you

Verse 3:

D A F#m A F#m
When I was 20 I moved into an apartment in Grand Haven, oh what was I thinking?
