The Hourglass And The Landslide

I created the parenthetical notes to symbolize that they are in the chord but
the emphasis on the stroke should be on the non-parenthetical portion.

So the chords are tabbed: E-A-D-g-b-e

                 C(sus2) x 3 2 0 3 3

                 D x x 0 2 3 2

                 Em7 0 2 2 0 3 3

                (D)/F# 2 x 0 2 3 2

                 D/G 3 x 0 2 3 2

                (G)/F# 2 x 0 0 3 3

                 G 3 2 0 0 3 3

                 A x 0 2 2 2 0

Intro/Verse

In this part I put an alternative phrase ending for phrases 1 and 3. I think the
alternate ending is more fun to play, but the first method sounds more like what is in the recording.

C(sus2) D Em7 (G)/F# G
                       (D)/F#--(D)/G-----(alternate)

C(sus2) D Em7 D(single-note piano) I hit open D on the & of 3 before the next phrase.

C(sus2) D Em7 (G)/F# G
                       (D)/F#--(D)/G-----(alternate)

C(sus2) D Em7 D(single-note piano)

(VERSE)

C(sus2) D Em7 (D)/F# D/G
Why does it feel like you're comin' on?
C(sus2) D Em7 D(single-note piano)
And why do I feel like it's never gone?
C(sus2) D
The tendrils of dark, like cerebral knives
Em7 (D)/F# D/G
Cut straight to heart, hyposensitise,
C(sus2) D A
Perceptions are sharp, "working overtime"

           C(sus2) D
Steppin" outside, steppin' outside

(CHORUS)
           G
It's a timeless dream
          D/F#
With a mindless scene
             Em7
Where the Sandstorm drifts
           C(sus2)
And the world turns rifting time,
G D/F# Em7 C(sus2)
In this Hourglass it's a landslide.
          G
From the hand you're dealin'
     D/F# Em7
The Tarot reading is so misleading,
    C(sus2)
The cards burn, shift and glide,
G D/F# Em7 C(sus2)
In this Hourglass it's a landslide.

(VERSE)
The sense is surreal, like a battle won,
But now I can see, I've been overcome,
You took me apart in the candlelight,
Dissected my heart while anesthetized
And now I'm a slave to your darker side

Steppin" outside, steppin' outside

(CHORUS)
It's a timeless dream
With a mindless scene
Where the Sandstorm drifts
And the world turns rifting time,
In this Hourglass it's a landslide.
From the hand you're dealin'
The Tarot reading
Is so misleading,
The cards burn, shift and glide,
In this Hourglass it's a landslide.

Solo: (VERSE)

          C(sus2) D C(sus2) D
Steppin" outside, steppin' outside Steppin" outside, steppin' outside

(CHORUS)x2

End on C(sus2)
