Headlights

I actually transposed this so if you are looking to play it exactly like TCC then you
to put your capo on the 8th fret which is rediculous. I usually play it on capo 4 and it
fine and its a lot easier to sing.

Capo 4

Intro
Em C G D

Em C
A summer drive away from dying:
a broken heart nothing to lose.
I know it hurts so bad just trying
to please the ones you hate to love.
Am7 C Em D
And I wrote this note about someone I used to know
          Am7 C
so I'd remember how life can be so short
C
when your left alone to wonder how it is
C G
someone opens and shuts the door.

            D C
I know your cold but come home.
         G D C
It's a shame how short we all have come.

Em C G D

Em C
You set your mind on cruise control;
knuckles grip the wheel in fear to let it go.
Am7 C Em
Love is empty ,love is cruel, love it blindly breaks the rules.
                          D
How could you have been a fool?
                            Am7
It's something all of us go through.
                                 C
You choke back tears and swallow lies
                                     Em
but those wiper blades won't fix you eyes,
                        D G
count on having clouded vision for at least a little while.

                  D C
And I know you're cold but come home:
         G D C G
it's a shame how short we all have come.
                  D C
And I know you're cold but come home.
              Em D C
Please don't face the headlights of the oncoming cars alone.
    Em C G D
We wont forget the pa---st.
    Em C G D G
We wont forget the pa---st. (And I know you're cold)
            D Em
Say all the answers and I will let you go
            C
I wont look back
                G
and I wont look back.
             D
Say all the answers
                   Em
and I will let you go.
               C
I will let you go.
               G
I will let you go

D Em C

             Em D C
Please don't face the headlights of the oncoming cars alone
                   G
and I will let you go..
