If you're having any trouble hearing exactly how the parts sound, 
slow the track down, that's how I figured most of this out. His
bass cuts through the mix perfectly.


One thing Billy does a lot when he's holding a note for a long time
is take his plucking hand and slap across the ringing strings to 
create some pretty cool harmonic effects. On the last long note try 
holding the octave above it (7th fret on the G string) with the open 
A string and try this technique to get some of the effects he's 
using in the recording.
