There is a lot of hammering on and off the G string, listen
to the song and get the rhythm of how Edge plays it, it is very 
simple.

To close the intro, Edge shifts it up another gear. As soon as
the chord hits D again, palm mute immediately.

squeezes his fingers down then lightly mutes them again 
repeatedly. He simply plays D - G - D - A then back to the main 
riff.

Simple chorus. Stretch you 5th (pinky) finger along the E string 
to reach the 5th fret.

The 2nd part of the chorus riff has Edge extend the D to an A,
which he then takes back to the main riff to close chorus.

For those with the hammer thing on the guitars which loosen the
strings and give the damp effect, utilise this here. Edge plays a 
clean D, I think with maybe some added distortion, then gives it
the bendy sound. The riff goes simply like this, then straight back
to main riff.
